Anyone know any decent budget hotels on I-drive? I see a few 2 star online- are these really dire?

Also, someone told me alcohol is seriously expensive, is this true?

the budget hotels are not half-bad on i-drive, if you are only looking for a place to sleep then quality inn as mentioned, rodeway international or the continental plaza

having stayed in all three i would recommend the rodeway above the other two but if you can get the other 2 cheaper then go with either of those

alcohol is cheaper in orlando than ireland, all bars/clubs close at 2am on the dot though, everyone is gone at 2.01am

Thanks for the replies. rossie1977 Is the Continental Plaza ok? It's the cheapest on one site. I have read some pretty bad reviews on tripadvisor!!!
That's grand regarding the drink! Someoen just told me it's minimum 20quid for rubbish wine in an offlicence. Maybe it's just where they were

continental is fine the rodeway is better but like you i was a little worried given the tripadvisor ratings, honestly i didn't think it was that bad at all, its a basic motel type establishment right across the road from wet and wild. small pool and the usual us motel breakfast (juice, cereal, buns), when i booked the continenal it was cheaper on hotelclub than on their own website

the location is fantastic, there are numerous restaurants within 5 mins walking distance and universal is about 15mins walk, bus stop a few metres walk which brings you to either north to downtown or south to seaworld/disney. its not 5 star but for all the time you will be spending in the room its fine. we had 4 rooms booked at the place and they all looked like our one
