    We spent 3 days there, a few years ago (before going to Carvoeiro). We really liked it. It's a lot more traditional than most of the western resorts. We found it really relaxing, loved the beach, thought the food was extremely good value, and enjoyed the few bars that were there. It's only 4 miles from Tavira, which is nice to visit for an afternoon. It's a pretty quiet resort, but we didn't find it too quiet, iykwim. We'd definitely go back.

    I spent two weeks there a few years back and had a ball! Its very laid back and not touristy at all. But there is still a decent nightlife. You find yourself socialising with more Portuguese than english/irish. I believe a lot of them holiday down there. And the local restaurants are amazing!! If you love seafood you will love his place!

    Theres an island just out in the harbour that is all beach and its fantastic. there are boats which go over and back throughout the day. And as Tavira is so close you can do day trips for shopping etc. All the big clubs would be there too and its an ok distance to be getting cabs at night. We did a few trips to spain too which was great!
