Jesus man, don't post that without a NSFW warning at the very least!!!!
People should read the comments before deciding if they are going to watch it.

    I'm still having nightmares a year later:mad:

That's something I don't understand. We in London have got hundreds of railway lines. It's like a mass of spaghetti. But people getting killed on a railway track are rare.

its a selfish way to leave this world leaves family and friends with many unanswered questions not to mention the hurt and pain they go through.

And what about the driver? I could not stomach to witness something like this, i couldn't begin to imagine what the driver goes through after this!

Heard some horror stories when i worked in the railway a few years ago. One guy there had a suicide there on his first week. Another guy had depression after witnessing two suicides which happened within around a week of each other.

When i was there, there was a suicide by thurles. I remember when the inspector got a phone call from the lads on the train just after it happened.

It happens more than you'd think but is rarely reported on.

Would have been a lot funnier if a second train came along at the end.

and how do they not hear the trains coming???

It actually can be hard to hear a train from the tracks. The sound moves from the sides of the train, not to the front.

50 suicides a year on the Tube....140 on other train tracks....

So is it common for people to hang on out on railway tracks?

    It's just natural selection tbh.

I don't think you'd really care about that if you were going to jump in front of a train in the first place

It's come up on C&T a few times, seemingly there is quite a big support system in place for drivers. Leave, counceling and so forth.

    is it though?

"12 people were killed when a high-speed train hit them as they tried to cross a railway line to get to a festival on a beach near Barcelona late last night."

    ^^^^^^^^^^

maybe not in that case, but when its one person it usually is

Anyone committing suicide by jumping in front of a train is exteremly selfish in my opinion, no thought to how it affects others, particularily the driver

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 196 ✭✭RoRoCullen

    Either suicide or extremely drunk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

My grandad was the driver for 3 suicides. Doubt they had the same support systems in place for the drivers that they had back then.
