Push ups

    I was just wondering what do pushups actually do?
    I cant get to the gym much these days due to other commitments,but i was wondering if i started doing push-ups every day would that help me build my biceps and chest muscles in 8 weeks?

    Say 2-3 times a day i'll do 3 sets of 15 pushups, varying the hand positions?

    Any help be greatfull. Thanks

    yes they will help but as would doing pull ups, squats, sit ups, lunges etc a whole range of body weight exercises will do the trick in one good session rather than 3 times a day.

    Press ups will do feck all for your biceps but pull ups/chin ups would help
