I'm trying to reschedule my appointment to something soon.

Is there a certain time of the day when cancellations are released to the online booking system? I'm looking at any of the Dublin centers.

    :)

Usually you can catch a few cancellations around 11 in the morning. Don't know if it's coincidence but always found that myself.

    Thanks.

Yes, a load of appointments were released this morning. If anyone is looking for a test soon, there are plenty in the Dublin centers for the week beginning 19th July.

I booked one online about an hour ago and was able to choose from any of the days on the week you mentioned (starting 19th July) and pick my own time too. Good luck to you with yours

Slightly off-topic but I didn't want to start yet another NCT thread:

With the new rules for cars ten years old and over requiring an NCT every year, can you still book three months in advance when the test is an annual one? Mine passed just recently but is due again in December, I was thinking of getting it in again as early as possible to get the max out of the next one. Looking forward to getting it for half-price, too!

Thanks, but I thought it was already one year for older cars???

same as here, do not want to start a new thread. Have a 00 Hyundai accent and need new front and rear shocks. Been quoted €600 all in. Is this off the wall, or fair enough? All I want is something to pass the NCT, nothing else.

My neighbour has just been given an NCT date in November !. Galway must be seriously backlogged as his NCT has expired. The free tests are going to cost the company a fortune.

Have always found the NCT system to work reLLY well. Very well ran ond organised. Very helpful to call them up too and check for cancellations.

I rang about 2 weeks ago to get an NCT in Galway, was told that she couldn't give me a date, there were none available:eek: I had expected to be given one in November/December. I asked to be put on cancellation list and in 2 days time I got a text to say I had an appointment for tomorrow morning. Hope it passes now.

Always worth asking to be put on cancellation list.

I checked again for dates yesterday evening, and got one in Deans Grange today at 5.30pm.

    Thankfully I passed :D

I can confirm that they are still giving 2 year certs for 10 year old cars.
