    Hey!

I am going to but an embroidery machine!

I'm looking for peoples opinions on them, preferably your opinions of your own machine, advice, suggestions ... all comments welcome!

I was looking at the Brother Innovis 1250. Anyone out there have this already???

    Please help me decide!

    Thanks in advance

Brother are nice machines for both embroidery and sewing, I usually hear positive things about them. It's also the only legal way to get those Disney designs! I use a Bernina and I love it but they're a very expensive brand.

Depending on what you want to embroider there are all sorts of stabilisers to buy, along with embroidery thread, bobbin thread, etc. If you want to create your own embroidery designs that requires specialist software. For many machines you can buy larger hoops to stitch bigger designs too.

It's an expensive hobby, but really fun as you can create / embellish all sorts of things. The book I found most useful when I began was Embroidery Machine Essentials by Jeanine Twigg. Hope this helps!

Mainly from Discount Embroidery Supply in the US. I've got some at the local IPS meeting when I needed it quickly and there was a meeting, or from the UK (Cotton Patch in Birmingham does the Sulky line which I really like). I had a French site for the washaway stuff but can't find it since the old computer died, but have used the dissolving laundry bags from sewessential.co.uk (they last ages for the price).
