Just want to wish all our posters in U.S. politics section a hppy 4th of July.
Regadless of your political afilliations we are citizens of a great country and today we celebrate that.
I'm Irish by birth and american by choice and wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't post that often but I really enjoy reading the different threads as some of our regular posters bring passion and humor that I haven't seen on other political boards.
    I'll leave with this thought.
My elderly neighbour is republican and my wife is democrat and our neightbour insisted we walk together to the polling station as americans to vote , as he liked to remind me we may have different political affiliations but we are americans first and the most important duty is to get out and vote.
And now I'm off to march in my little villages' parade dressed as a giant paint can (my nieces idea)
    Happy 4th everyone
