Thats a superb run by Emmet. Any update on the senior women (in particular Suzanne Kenny, who posts here as mymojo)?

Suzanne worked her way through the field to make the top 50 on her debut at this level, see http://www.imra.ie/events/view/tab/report/id/784/

Good stuff by all involved. Trying to watch the mens race on the web feed at mo but it's very patchy, I forgot the timezone issues and missed all the previous ones  Looks like Turkey leading in Italy in mens. Which seems to have been the way of the championships.

That's a great achievement for someone who just started hillrunning this year, she's got a great future ahead of her. Well done to all who ran this too.

Gary O'Hanlon finished in 53 minutes for 44th place, looked completely wiped when he crossed the line, nothing left on the course by that man for sure!

Brian Furey was in around 54 minutes I think for 54th.

James Doran in 58 mins for 70th. He looks shattered as well.

Not sure if I've not seen the last Irish runner or he's still out on the course. Fair play to them all, hope they have a good day of relaxing ahead and they're not flying home too soon!

They are on the ball with the results.. online already. Must've taken a leaf from the imra site. The winning time was incredible. 46 mins for 12k with 600+ metres of climb. Well done to the Irish team.

I'm alive!!!! we(the senior women)came 12th overall...oh my god what a tough race!! we cud see the junior boys on the big screen before our race out on the course....terrain looked quite flat on screen but we cud see them running so slowly ..frm then we started to get worried...we soon found out why! was so deceptive...unending!! I have done a few tough uphill races like powerscourt uphill only etc but they seemed like a walk in the park compared to this....on our way up on our first loop I remember thinking to myself "I can't actually do this!" but determination kept me going!!! anyone who knows me will know that I don't normally walk the uphills unless sum climbing is necessary etc and same here...I kept going willing myself not to give up....and I didn't...yay! was really happy with my time 46mins! the winning time was 39mins...so 7mins b.hind that...to me that was a great achievent and I'm delighted...again yay! karen alexander was home in 43mins...fantastic time...sharon bird 45 ....both v.strong runners from northern ireland and thankfully like me they found the race so so hard...we nearly cried crossing the finish...seriously! Here was little 5ft1 and three quarters irish girl(me)running amoung these professional athletes in their knickers and crop tops...as denis ryan remarked we looked like lambs being sent for the slaughter out there...but we did it! won't forget that race in a hurry...brill experience...all I need now is a couple of yrs training in the alps and I might catch one of those european genetic miracle limbed ladies in a race...and pigs might fly too...who knows

Well done. Sounds really really tough and fair play for hanging on in there in a quality field.

Well done Mymojo. Don't think it'll take as long as you think it will, judging by your progress so far.

All right, all right, calm down! :D

I can assure you I was watching but the online feed was patchy for me so I posted what I did see. Think it was fair enough, definitely didn't mean to suggest you weren't done yet but I gave up on the feed after my post so had nothing else I could add.
