Bringing food through customs

    Hi,

I'm flying to Germany tomorrow with Ryanair to visit a friend who's living there at the moment. She told me that she misses kids sweets so I'm bringing some over with me but not sure if I'll have room in my checked luggage for it.

I know that on the Ryanair website that it says it's fine to bring food on board but I'm a bit concerned as some of the sweets include things like Dib Dabs and Sherbet Fountains.

Does anyway think it'll be a problem going through customs with this type of stuff as it obviously could look somewhat suspicious?

    Very unlikely tbh :)

    Thought so!

I've so far managed to squeeze everything into my checked luggage but no doubt I've forgotten something so it might have to be removed. Maybe I can just squeeze the powdery stuff into the checked bag and keep the rest in my hand luggage.

The only problem is that I'm fairly partial to a Roy of the Rovers bar and I'd be persuaded to sample the merchandise if it's on hand...
