It has been a bizzare 2 weeks out here in the west.
Galway coco's planning and environment departments have been abysmal in the past, we are the worst county for planning enforcement, illegal quarries, non-restoration of evacuated quarries and tyre dumping for example.

But the attacks in the Connacht Tribune on Gormley by councillors and un named coco officials were unending.
I think they took a thesaurus out of the librairy because there was not a pejoritive they did not used.

Its high time there was an investigation, and now there is one coming it seems amazing that several senior coco people are taking retirement - to paraphrase Joyce - before the medieval midden hits the offshore windfarm

Sad to hear, particularly as Galway probably had the very first "Green" politican - "Humanity Dick" himself (Richard Martin M.P.).
