It's all relative i suppose, but I'm not into paying almost a hundred euro for a meal for two, no matter what extras are thrown in. Never have and never will.

Has anyone any experience of this restaurant?
Is €75 a bargain? (relatively speaking)

Why you are trying to drag the price up? Why not say "at just over €50"? it's as close to €50 as €100

If you don't appreciate good food enough to pay these kind of prices fair enough but there are plenty of places that are good value at €75-€100 for a full meal and drinks for two.

FWIW I ate at this place many years ago. I don't remember what I paid, but the place was very nice and food was great.

Why would I say "just over 50" when it's 75? And I suppose i was just baulking at the usual €95 quoted.

And the menu there, selection of starters, selection of mains, sounds a bit ropey tbh.

And I do appreciate fine food enough to pay for it, but only if it is actually fine food. I think about €60 on a DECENT meal for two is fine. Had the best meal I ever had in a 5 star hotel in Donegal, starter, pint, glass of wine, main and dessert, looking over the sea. Service/food was amazing enough for me to leave a hefty tip. I doubt very much this will be on a par.

Hmm. Mixed reviews of this place I see. General consensus seems to be that the service could be improved?

Their early bird's cheaper than this offer?

You can't beat a good mojito though! Anyone been recently?

€75 doesn't seem much of a bargain to me (not whining here) but let's be honest, every second restaurant in Dublin do an early bird now, which usually costs less than 20€ a head, and includes a glass of beer/wine starters and desert and tea and coffee.
The fact that this is Cuban food doesn't make much of a difference to me. (was in Cuba last year and the foods/national dishes are not exactly special)
Ok, you get a cd/cigar or coffee to take home with you, hardly worth the extra 30 odd quid though (based on a normal 2 x early bird menu at 20€ each)

That's just my opinion for what it's worth.
If this deal was closer to fifty euro I MIGHT consider it!
