Teams have been named. I really fear for Wexford in this game, I am not expecting anything other than a defeat :(

Wexford and Tipperary have made changes ahead of their All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Qualifier in Semple Stadium on Saturday.

For Wexford Paul Roche returns to corner back in place of Lar Prendergast, while another Oulart-the-Ballagh man, David Redmond, starts his first game of the year at wing back having been introduced as a sub last time out.

Tomás Waters replaces the suspended Diarmuid Lyng at centre forward while Tomás Mahon from the Rapparees club comes in for Michael Jacob at top of the right.

Meanwhile, Tipperary bring David Young in at right half back and Patrick Maher at left half forward to make to make their Championship debuts, while Gearóid Ryan comes in at right half forward and Conor O'Brien returns at left corner back.

Paddy Stapleton, Paul Curran (both injured), Brian O'Meara (suspended) and John O'Brien are the ones to lose out.

In positional switches, Declan Fanning moves to full back, Padraic Maher to left half back, Noel McGrath to right corner forward and Lar Corbett to full forward.

Wexford v Tipperary in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Qualifiers in Semple Stadium, Saturday 3.30pm:

Wexford have nothing to lose, Tipp do not have a settled side at the moment with all the changes they've made. I fully expect it to be much closer than people think, with maybe a 4 point win for Tipp.

Edit: Another good thing for Wexford - Declan Fanning is playing directly in front of Brendan Cummins. The two don't get on and communication is non existant between them.

Can't see Wexford winning (unfortunately!), a bit like the Galway game, where we will give them a good game for 40-50 mins. Surely if Tipp improve from the last day & return to any kind of form from last year, they will win at a canter. Positives from us is that we always produce ONE sparkling performance each year, and we (nearly) always play well in Thurles ! Finger/toes crossed.

Anyone got any updates on the match?

    Tipp 0-10 Wex 0-5 after 27 mins

Tipp on top in a pretty slow paced game. Its more like a league game tbh

    what happened fanning?

Pair of them dragging out of each others helmets at the start of the game, both yellow carded. (himself and Banville)

All Tipp players playing ok, not really having to do too much. David Young has a few points scored. Midfield look more settled. But its hard to tell with the way Wexford are playing.

Tipp by at least 10 points I'd say. Wexford look very weak TBH.

    2 goals in a minute.

2-17 to 0-7 now. Only 38 minutes gone.

    Wexford are terrible

this game is not going to do any good for Tipperary it was played at the slowest pace iv ever seen in a championship match compare the speed and intensity to Offaly V Galway and its in a different league

Wexford were awful. Most senior club teams in tipp would have beaten them today!

hope declan fanning is ok. shameful the way the ref threw in the ball while that incident was goin on. surely any decent ref would at least glance left and right before starting a match.

Not really a test for Tipp TBH. We still dont know how good/bad this Tipp team is.
