I have been having a discussion today about savings and wills.

1. Will her savings go to the named next of kin or does it go to probate? Savings are in the Credit Union
2. If there is a loan does that die with the person or does it travel to the next of kin

and 3. what happens the estate of the person as she has a partner for over 10 years but is not married to him? does he get it or would their son?

In my credit union, my loan dies with me and my savings go to my named next of kin. It will be written in the terms and conditions of the application form.
