    For some reason BOI puts the account number on the card - AIB don't. Would have thought this was dangerous putting the account number on the card.

    The 8 digit number on a BOI Laser card is a card number, not your account number. This changes with each new Laser card.

    They do print the issuing bank's sort code beside the card number.

    Why did ya ask then?

    Its not on the card anyways. ring your branch or its on all statements issued.
