    Hi Guys,

    Need a little advice please...

Before I fell pregnant, I weighed 8.2 and never had any problems or worries about putting on weight but i guess its all catching up with me now. After I had my baby, I weighed 10 stone. ( i am 5ft 5in ). That was in November and slowly but surely I have lost a stone since then, I havent been totally great with my diet, I do tend to eat loads of junk food at weekend but hardly anything during the week, i dont exercise at all. I think the stone is just basically water retention from the pregnancy.

Anyways me and my friend hired a vibroplate for 5 weeks, now before we did this, I weighed myself and I was 9 stone, my BMI was 24% and my fat mass was 35%. After the 5 weeks of using this everyday for 10 mins, I weigh 9.4, my BMI is 21% and my fat mass is down to 24%. Now im no expert, i really dont have a clue about fitness, health and diet but im thinking that in the last 5 weeks, i've toned up and built muscle which is why i weigh 4 pounds more. I dont want to gain weight. My target weight would be 8.5, I wouldve preferred to have lost the weight then toned up. So does anyone know should I stop using the vibroplate incase it builds more muscle and just to cardio instead? Will it be harder to lose my weight now because its muscle?

Im going on holidays on 12th Aug, I really really want to get down to my target weight for this so my diet and excerise starts today but im unsure about the vibroplate, it obviously works but is it not a good choice for me? I work all day 9 - 5 then I have my son to look after in the evening so i dont get much chance to exercise hence the vibroplate standing in my sitting room! I was going to try make it to the gym once a week for about an hour and a half and then maybe a 5 mile walk once a week, anyone know if this would help me lose my weight?

    any advice much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

How are you measuring body fat percentage?

I dont think those bodyfat figures are accurate as 35% BF at 9 stone is over 3 stone fat. 24% at 9stone 4 is under 2 and a half stone fat.

The figures just dont add up.

    Hey,

My mum is a weight loss motivator and she has this weight machine that goes into alot of detail about fat mass and stuff and i have the two seperate receipts that it prints off that show seperate figures (i'll scan them in tomorrow and post them up for you to look at just incase I am missing anything)

your right though, from what i can remember the first weigh in showed over 3 stone fat and the last one was 2 stone something. Im positive this is what is showed? Are you sure I must be wrong? Is that like totally impossible or something?? I dont have a clue what its normal and not when it comes to stuff like this!

If you've time to use a vibroplate, you've time to do real exercise. 20-30 minutes a few times a week isn't much to ask for really. Do some proper exercise - get out running, or else do some home exercise.

Check out http://thetransformationcatalyst.wordpress.com/ today as it has a session you can do with your son.

Forget the vibroplate - if wobbling about the place lazily was the key to looking good, we'd be surrounded by six packs and tight bums. Instead most people look like crap, so be one of the good looking ones.

BMI is only based on weight and height so there's no way it could have gone down if you gained 4lbs - also it's not a percentage, it's just a number. Sounds like the scales you're using isn't too trustworthy perhaps?
