Hey all, I've been planning to cover up a rotton tribal design on my lower back for years now! Just moved up to Galway last week so decided it's time to get a move on with this.
I'm wondering if anyone would know of someone who might specialise in this area and cover ups? I was thinking about getting it done in G's but just wanted to check in here incase I miss out on someone!
Any help would be appreciated. :)

Ah nice one thanks hun! Only thing I'd be worried about is not being able to talk much to them about it beforehand also I think you might have to book them aswell! But I wouldn't know who to book as I don't know what artists are attending and what they would specialise in :/

    Thanks though :)

http://www.dublintattooconvention.com/ check the lists of artist's attending, oh wait it isn't up yet. well the guys said they'd be back, think damo has their email. when he see's this he might pm you their email and you can talk to em? if you like that is

i just walked up to em last year and got my foot done, it's no biggie

Yeah that's the one I checked.. saw something about bookings! Are all the artists checked out and what not? Like no cowboys signing up with a couple of fake portfolios? :p

Cool hun that sounds like a plan! Shall give me plenty of time to have something drawn up by then. Do they generally charge their tattoos a bit cheaper at conventions? Raging I missed the one down in Cork.

you looking for a full back piece? like whole back? tight for time at a convention, maybe karen russell in cork? she does lovely floral work, hmm.

Not a full back as such.. just a couple of largish pieces joined together by some vines etc. It will start from my lower back and join up to a large piece between my shoulder blades. Was hoping to find someone based in Galway but shall check her out anyways :)

I'm trying to get in touch with them myself to talk to them about getting a piece done, but their email addresses don't work... (I work with email, and have tried every trick I could think of, but their mails simply bounce back)

They have a facebook page too (http://www.facebook.com/#!/livingarttattoo?ref=ts) but they haven't replied to my message there yet either... :s
I was talking to Paddy (from Bodyshock, who organises the convention) and he said that he's pretty sure they are coming back.

The girl in Inkfingers(Abbeygate Street) is meant to be fantastic for coverups.

Might be worth a chat. There's tonnes of tattoo shops in Galway too, probably close to 15, so don't be afraid to go look at some portfolios(and post on here when it's done)!

If you check out the Dublin Tattoo convention on facebook there is a list of artists/ studios who have already confirmed.

Only thing is it's not specific artists that have confirmed. But thanks for the heads up.. it gives an awful lot more info than the website :)
