If I was to arrive into Manchester on a Ryan Air flight at 7.30 am, what are my chances of checking in and getting on a Monarch one to Orlando at 8.30 am.

    Close to zero imho.

Check in closes 45 minutes prior to departure normally. 15 minutes from stand to desk is really cutting it fine and that's assuming no delays on the inbound flight.

    Agreed with Mike.... consider this

FR flight arrives on time 07:30 ..... 5-10 min taxi to gate ..... 5-10 mins to get off aeroplane 5-10 mins to get to arrivals hall ..... and you have missed the other flight

If it was same airline/ through ticketing then possible because you wouldn't have to check in .... but in this case no

Thanks guys....You are right! I probably knew it was not an option. Just trying to get to Orlando by the cheapest means possible and charter by Monarch is it. I suppose I will just have to factor in a night in an airport hotel !

if you're trying to save a few bob you might be better off heading into the city centre and staying in a travelodge or ibis and then heading out the next morning.
if it were me, i'd pay the extra few quid to stay at the hotel just for safety's sake but it is an option.

or get the latest flight into Manchester and wait a few hours. not the most pleasant of experiences, but definitely tolerable. Bring a good book and a travel Pillow.

Any time I've flown to Manchester, with either Ryanair or Aer Lingus, the plane has parked on a remote stand and the passengers are bussed to the arrivals hall.

So even if you get off the plane first you are still waiting for the bus to fill before setting off.

That makes it even harder to manage a tight connection.

Book a hotel the night before. The peace of mind is worth it. If the flights were on a joint ticket, it wouldn't be so bad but there's only a slim chance you would make it with having to check in again etc.
