Interestingly, blades are usually not recommended for goalkeepers as due to the nature of moving side to side the increased area of the blade rather than a stud causes more friction against the sole of the foot and can lead to injuries like planter fasciitis.

Very interesting Saint Mel! Never heard that!! What is planter fascitis?

Is it when I get flat footed and cant dive?

    blades are usually not recommended

From what I have heard that's for all players, clubs are trying to get players move away from them because of the problems with people going over and breaking ankles from the blade moving.

Ive never had a prob with blades! Lots of lads breaing toes ankles cuz of flimsy stylish colourful boots!

The tissue that supports the arch of the foot gets inflamed. Can be quite painful to even when lift your foot off the gound

its not very often i find shops cheaper than pro-direct.bought the copa mundials, unbelievably comfortable.
wont wear blades anymore, they are strongly linked with alot of serious injuries it seems.

Not sure, any time I've had it its been along the arch, between the ball and heel. If iots just the ball of the foot it could be Metatarsalgia, best go to physio and get it checked out.

Best not diagnose other people over the web.

At the moment it's not cheaper to buy a lot of boots online with exchange rates and shipping. Although if there is a certain less popular boot or non standard colourway then online can be your only option.
