Firefox: 8 tabs open and plenty of addons - 5.486000061035156

EDIT - It's a very very poor test by the way. Highly dependant on your internet speed because the page is just under 1MB in size. Somebody on a 1mbit connection can expect the results to be at least 8 seconds while the data comes down from the internet. Same computer with a faster connection/same everything else will see a reduction in time.

Indeed, in fact I'd say unless your internet speed is amazing the results will almost entirely be based on your connection speed and ping rate.

Most obvious example is that the first time I loaded it I got about 6.3 seconds.
I clicked on the link again and got about 0.8.
The other 5.5 seconds would have been due to my net connection, whereas the page was cached the second time, so that would've been just the time taken to load it from cache and then render it.

It also just uses tables it appears, no test on anything else, so if a browser implements tables excellently but sucks at rendering everything else it'll win over a browser that's actually good at rendering.

Agree that its a very bad test, was getting up and down results due to speed of downloading page

saving page to hard drive and loading from there gave me these times, best of about 10 page refreshes

    chrome:.............1.01
    opera:................1.32
    maxthon1.67:.....2.48
    ie7:....................2.51
    firefox3.6.6:........2.9

Loading from the webpage best I could get was opera at 4.18

2.74 with Chrome 3 tabs open.

Doesn't mean much it seems to take my internet connection 10 minutes to warm up when it does load a page it may have no pictures or CSS style sheet.

Chrome - 0.99 with four tabs
IE - 1.73 with two tabs
Firefox - 2.89 with one tab

Might I add a 1.0 Gbps speed and the fact that the more I open that testing page the quicker it gets (cached I'm assuming) so the first ones are the most accurate but can't be repeated (maybe with deleting browser history & temp...)
