A&E's dramatic series THE GLADES, follows Jim Longworth, an attractive, brilliant, yet hard to get along with homicide detective from Chicago who gets shot by his captain after being wrongfully accused of sleeping with his wife. After being exiled from the department, Longworth relocates to the sleepy, middle of nowhere town of Palm Glade, Florida, where the sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. Only this town outside the Florida Everglades isn’t quite as idyllic as he thought, as he finds people keep turning up murdered. Each case pulls Longworth off the golf course and reluctantly into his element as one of the sharpest homicide detectives to wear a badge.
Between practicing his short game, trying to get a date with Callie - a quick-witted, beautiful medical student with a 12 year-old son and a husband in prison - and trying to solve countless homicide cases, Longworth’s transition to his new surroundings is a bit more difficult than expected. He’s realizing the skies in this new town are always sunny...with a chance of homicide.

It was decent and the ending was good surprise but it had too many flaws for me to really like it. I am just not a big fan of this type of show in general.

Seems like a poor rip off of CSI and a bit over the top.The writer's didn't take any realism into place and wrote anything they wanted, so much for police procedures and the ending was a bit meh!, didn't really gel with the other characters either. Overall a poor pilot, they tried to cram too much into it. Unsure if I'll watch any more episodes.

Looking for some bright and breezy summer time viewing and decided to give this a go. 3 episodes in and its easy to watch trash that will never be mistaken for The Wire but is perfect for killing a few hours when you just want to sit back and switch your brain off.

I doubt I'll ever go out of my way to watch an episode nor would I be particularly bothered if the show was canceled but for something to watch while having a sandwich there's a hell of a lot worse shows on.

If the producers decide to go for 5th series depends how much kia pay them for blisteringly obvious product placement. Wouldn't mind if it carried on, but wouldn't be bothered if it was cancelled. Watchable but Meh.
