ive a discovery 3 that has a viboration from the steering wheel. its worse when braking but its also present when accelerating. the discs and pads have been changed and the run out on the new discs has been checked and all is ok. there is no obvious play or wear in the steering or suspension.

where should i go from here?

I can't help much, I'm still in the dark ages on 70's designed coils and beam axles. If you can't find anything obvious such as damaged wheels or tyres ask on http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/ and you should get an answer.

the ball joints are a modified part so the have to be fitted in pairs and so far as i know the tie rods are too. yer man was back today with it and he was delighted, no vibs at all
