Nuts are generally an expensive thing unfortunately. I have found Holland and Barretts pretty decent for brasil nuts and almonds though. They usually have some kind of 3 for 2 or similar offer (just per careful that the price per KG is lower with the 3 for 2 instead of just buying a big bag).

I actually fin Tesco one of the cheapest for nuts tbh - 300g of Brazil nuts for €3; €2.50 ish for 175g of almonds iirc and I actually find them way nicer than the ones fron H&B or Dunnes. They taste much fresher to me, so maybe they have a higher stock turnover?

That's around the same price as HnB if you're buying large bags (I do). There isn't a tescos near me though.

There is :) But it's a pain in my nether regions to actually use methinks. Also, I'm not mad about buying from Tescos. I've read some nasty things about their competitive practice. :) (though I don't want a debate on that here).

Aldi has 200g bags of cashews, walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds for around €1.79 (maybe less). I've found this to be the cheapest show in town!!!

Stop thinking about the cheap nuts. you cannot manage to buy nuts in really cheap price. Usually nuts are expensive. Well there are some nuts that can be bought cheap but i am not familiar to that nut names. May be i can help but need some time.
