Anyone got any tips or prices for where to get a good introductory lesson around the Dublin area?

€75 for 30 minutes in flightwise, I'll have a look around and see if I can find cheaper :)

;) I actually found that price on the site myself, what is the catch? Is it only valid for an intro? it costs me more to hire out an aircraft for solo never mind dual instruction...

I'm still waiting for the Flywise guys to call me back to schedule the actual lesson. I'll try to remember to post a review when I complete the lesson!
    Can't wait for it!!! :pac:

anyone have recent experience with these flywise (fly-in-Ireland) guys?
I bought and paid for my 1 hr fly voucher, entered it into their website but have heard nothing from them.

Yep used flightwise a lot. Started off with the intro flight and hoping to become a member this week.

When you say you've heard nothing from them. How did you select to receive your voucher? email or sms?

When I did it there was a link to download it which had a voucher number on it. I think I got an email confirmation as well. Then I went to http://flightwise.voucherme.com/request_booking filled in the details and next day received a text confirming when it was scheduled for.

Then on the day of booking you get a text which tells you if the weather is ok or not. its real handy.

I did all that, i.e. received an email with a link to my voucher (also received an email with the voucher attached), went to the http://flightwise.voucherme.com/request_booking site, filled in my details..... and heard nothing - and that was back at end of June. Filled it in a 2nd time a few days ago, still heard nothing. :(

Did you put in your correct mobile number etc without the 353 etc.

Just give them a call and they'll sort you out.

Just went to book a flying lesson for my wife for her birthday, Flightwise have increased prices form 75 to 95 for a 30 min lesson, and up to 185 from 145 for a 1hr lesson. That's a pretty big price hike :(:(

scudzilla They were running a special offer price of 75/145. It used to be 99 per half hour so still cheaper than it was a few months ago.

Received a flyinireland voucher from the kids for my 50th birthday .
flyinireland canceled my lesson a few times due to bad weather, but I did eventually get to fly two weeks ago and I have to say it was well worth the wait absolutely fantastic ,very professional
