Here's the deal, I want to run a small touchscreen monitor in the kitchen to serve music to that room, I would really like to be able to run it off my current HTPC and not have to go to all the effort of getting another PC simply to run a 7 inch monitor, is it possible?

if you dont have the touch screen monitor yet, check out the o2 joggler (available on ebay.co.uk)

7inch touchscreen pc that can run linux and plenty of programs for streaming music/video.

Thanks but I have the monitor already and more importantly is that I really want to use WMC as I have various plugin's that I want to run through it.

its not possible to have 2 monitors running 2 separate instances of MC.
if you have a long enough cable (and can route it) you can clone the display onto the touchscreen.

if you need to use wireless or its too long a run for HDMI/VGA but can run cat5 then an xbox360 or other extender is the way to go.

Windows sideshow and the Media Center Gadget might do the job.

How you get display and sound to the 7" screen is another matter - its only a screen so you can't attach a wireless dongle/network cable etc.
