So I've just picked up a pack of close-up filters, +1, +2, +4, +10, but I've know idea how to use them? I've screwed them on but all I'm getting is a blurry image. Have I just wasted my money, again?

Close-up filters reduce the minimum focusing distance of the lens they're mounted on. If your images are blurry, it's probably because your lens can't focus on distant subjects as they're beyond its infinity stop. How close is your lens to the thing you're photographing?

Not close enough. :) Got it sorted. Thank you.
