Making a Karaoke DVD

I have a few songs that I want to put on a DVD and put the lyrics on it also. It would be like Karaoke where the lyrics appear as the song is playing. How would I do this? Is there a software I can download? Thank You. :)

Nah. Not porn.

Why would I want words on a porn DVD? I'd want to be able to see everything properly!

I just want to make a DVD with the song playing and the lyrics flowing along the screen as the words are being sung.

you could get instrumental tracks off youtube with a youtube to mp3 converter then make .gif files of the words and sync them with the song.

you'll need photoshop or, gimp, actually gimp is free software, but if you've no experience making .gif files it'll take ya ages or look up tutorials on youtube on how to do....

or you could just tell yout buddy to buy a karaoke cd....

also, just to say i detest karaoke
i worked in a pub and for 2 years we had karaoke night every monday, how i didn;'t kill every so and so that butchered all kinds of songs i'll never know

It isn't really karaoke though.

I am putting the full proper song onto a DVD with the lyrics. The lyrics by the original artist will still be heard but the lyrics will appear below so the person can sing along

Karaoke is like pulling your nails down a blackboard. Oh sure, after a few drinks we all like to think we're the next Whitney just about to be discovered but actually sound like a cat in a blender.

Youtube search whatever song you want and just type in lyrics aswell. Theres nearly a video of every song with lyrics scrolling across the screen exactly what you want

Dear OP, Winamp has an addon that can be incorported into it so that you can add sub-titles to the words of songs/videos that are playing.

I was also thinking of making a .srt file of the lyrics.

I would use one from a foreign film and edit it with the lyrics.

Just to clear up a few things:

I am not making a karaoke (no vocals) DVD. I am just looking to put a song onto a DVD with lyrics appearing on screen. I don't want to remove vocals or any of that.
