stealing this idea from elsewhere ... but other than Dan the Man & our other GAA legends, who is the most famous living county Waterford man?

I suppose we may as well include the city.

    suggestions
    Keith Barry (city)
    John Tracey (Villierstown)
    Sean Kelly (Clonea Power/Rathgormack)
    Val Doonican (city)
Paddy O´Brien the singer ... Mellary?!

Martin Cullen (he may not be known for all the right reasons but he is famous)
Austin Deasy (was minister for agriculture in the 1980's)
    Gilbert O'Sullivan, singer/songwriter
    Jim Power, economist

These won't count for your poll but are worthy of a mention.
    Anna Manahan (recently deceased)
    Mai O'Higgins (recently deceased)

Would say most likely Keith Barry followed by John O' Shea.

Although there is the performer that sued the record companies and ended up bringing in the idea of royalties and licences. Remembered for the wrong reasons I guess :p. Promptly left Waterford once he got his money and doesn't come back now because apparently we don't appreciate him.Was that Gilbert O' Sullivan?

    [EDIT] Hey Gilbert.....you suck.......[/EDIT]

While I think Keith Barry is well known in Showbiz circles, Sean Kelly is still well renowned across europe, he still works for Eurosport throught the cycling year doing commentary for most of the Grand Tours so has a rather large audience across Europe.

John O'Shea by a country mile.
He plays for perhaps the biggest supported team in the biggest world sport.
