planning my cycle for next saturday and looking at a route from baldoyle to drogheda and home. route planner on internet says 121km. After taking 3 hours this morn to do 75-80km Im thinking this will take me the best part of 5 hours. Any one think thats too slow or too optimistic.

Sandbag here, tries to keep to 25kph, it's kind of up to yourself, but maybe pick an average speed that you did recently and add .5 or so onto it. I have a lumpy 50 that I judge myself on and take regularly, always trying to get a bit faster.

    sounds about right, 3hr 75k so 5hrs 125k... ballpark.

chances are if you finished with alot left last ride of 3hrs, then 5hrs at same speed is doable. If you were knackered after 3hrs then your avg for the last 2 might suffer alot..

wasnt knackered as such little stiff was just a pain in d ass having to go against the wind all the way from Swords to Baldoyle that was the toughest part
