The Sky+HD 1TB box has one terabyte of personal storage and can store up to 240 hours of high definition (HD) television - that's four times more than our latest Sky+HD box. Plus, the increased memory size for Sky Anytime allows you to watch up to 100 hours of on demand HD content.

Sky+HD 1TB box is €249 for new Sky TV customers, €30 standard set-up.

No cost for new Existing Customers upgrading to it.

Also, your first month of HD Pack subscription is FREE. €15 thereafter.

Nice but I doubt that it comes with component out connections that I need for my old plasma display :(

Very unlikely - SkyHD boxes now only have HDMI to comply with HDCP requirements.

You would break your warranty, but surely its a lot cheaper to upgrade the drive in a standard Sky HD box than invest in this. Plus, its an Amstrad...

No cost for new Existing Customers upgrading to it.

Does that include if you already have the current Sky+HD box? Can't see any info on the site about this.

There is no price for Existing Customers getting the 1 TB Box, only €249 for new Sky TV customers.

Argh, this sounds pretty good. Still don't really want to pay the €15 per month sub though.. is there a minimum period tied into this as an existing customer?

So let me get it right, no set up / install cost, no box cost, just the €15 extra per month?

Edit just noticed set up is €30 if you take multiroom and €60 without.

Just onto sky, they said the 1TB box is NOT in this offer. It's €249 + €60 for all customers. So I told her the website doesn't seem to say that and I said I'd hang on for a few years so. She said it'll never be in this offer.

Sounds great and all, but what's the REAL story regarding availability.

Are we not more or less bound by what the installer actually has with them on the day?

I will clear this up, it is €249 for new Sky TV customers, there is no price listed on the sky Ireland website.
Sky+HD 1TB: €249 Sky+HD 1TB box for new Sky TV customers taking the HD Pack for 12 months (HD Pack subscription free for first month, €15pm thereafter. Offer ends 23 December 2010). HD channels received depend on your Sky TV package. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. Sky+HD 1TB box offers up to 5x more picture detail than standard definition. Some HD channels are available without subscription.

I have e-mailed sky Ireland to see what it is for Existing Customers getting the 1 TB Box.
