Just thought this might be of interest to readers? Task was to plant a large heavy Olive tree in a Raised Bed. There were some difficulties, tree weighed approx 2 ton, and was too tall and too wide to take through side access gates. What did we do ? Here's how with pics:

Olives are surprisingly hardy trees as can be seen in their native environments like Italy and Spain which can also have cold/wet winters.

Unfortunately Irish summers being not so hot as the Mediterranean region, the fruit which the trees also produce in Ireland does not ripen.

Magnificent trees with many unique characteristics.

Very nice,on a summers day with a bit of sun that will be great.
How much was the tree itself?

All mature Trees are prohibitively expensive and Olives are no different. Typically they will range from high 00's to several 000's. Similar trees to this particular one would be in the '000s.
