    Link?

If it's not certified or coached by IAWLA coaches it's probably not great.

The DCU club is fully endorsed by the IAWLA and one of our coaches is there on weeknights. afaik it's only open to students though.

We're working hard to try and get a number of smaller regional clubs opening up over the course of the next couple of years, and I should have news of a new one opening up in south Dublin very soon.

OP the IAWLA runs a level 1 coaching course which allows you to become an introductory coach but at present it's only done through Setanta College. If you do find an Olympic lifting course try to make surethe coaches are IWF certified.

I am very interested in getting involved with weightlifting and particulary the coaching courses I see you can progress with.

I am south dublin, would that make the hercules gym in town the nearest for me.

also is there a membership fee etc?? Thanks!

On the lookout for courses myself. Did the level one last year and found it very good.

g'em if a Level 1 course becomes available could you post any details?
As I understand it Setanta College only provide it as part of their two year PFCS.
I am sure there are plenty of coaches out there with various qualifications that don't need the PFCS but would like the chance to do the Level 1 separately.

    Cheers

:D this place be be completely awesome!!

Zamboni, I will of course - at the moment my understanding of it is that we simply don't have the tutors to run cousea outside thosedone through Setanta. Let me look into it though.

it's a 6 month online course with some weekend workshops.

costs about 850 euro all in.

I did it from Jan - June of this year.
