It is summer, the sun is out most of the time and it is not raining.
It also is an offence against all that is right and proper in motoring to drive a cabriolet in this weather with the roof up.

    / public announcement

    twats :D

I wouldn't like to drive all the way from Dublin to Cork with the hood down! That was my journey today. I put it down for the last 15 miles alright.

I find myself shouting "ROOF" at these idiots!

I mean, what is the point of having a convertible in this weather if you are going to have the bloody roof up.

I used to drive mine with the roof off whenever it wasn't raining - even if it was close to freezing outside. Mainly because the peripheral vision was pants with the roof on, but even the doors came off when the weather was warm.

The weather hasn't been great the last few days though. Sometimes, if i'm only popping to the shops even in good weather, i'm too lazy to put the hood down. I'd only do it if i was going on a nice long drive.

If you had seen the state of some of the drivers you would shout ROOF just to get them to put it back up ;)

There are people around where I live buying any old piece of sh!t convertible just to look good for the Summer ... Knackered old 97' escort convertibles, squeeky sound coming from it going over the local speed ramps lol. Very old junker 98' Renault meganes.

I think some people are just paranoid to let their roofs down...not use to someone staring at the back of their head in traffic.

There's an awful lot of convertibles going around with the roof seals patched up with duct tape and sealant - If they take them down, they'll never seal right again.....

    .....but yeah, what's the f'n point? :p
