I've just gained huge respect for Hill after that. He got right to the core of Cagney after one interview. I bet he isn't the only one to think that either.
I know I've harped on about Cagney before but there can never be enough bashing of him. He is an orange, over opinionated, smug, braindead, awkward presence on a TV screen.
You have to laugh when he pops off the glasses, arches back on the seat, crosses the legs, folds the arms, all in preparation for what he thinks is Paxman style interrogating and then proceeds to comes out with a stream of howlers. The clown genuinely fancies himself as a David Frost in his pomp type character.

I didnt think the interview was that bad - at least not for him to say, he didn't think he "ever felt as uncomfortable".

There was a very definate mutual dislike from the start of the interview. That was obvious from the intro alone - see Cagneys face.

I have to say I'm not a fan of Cagney, but when the actor guy (hes so funny that I don't know his name) didn't understand the concept of the Americans having a different sense of humour to the British RE: Cagney asking how the American "get Brand" I thought this guys a tool or maybe a bit thick. :pac:

If he is supposed to be a comedian why wasn't he funny - maybe I just don't get him because he's American!!

So the article linked in OP didn't give you a clue (hint, its the 3rd word in the article), or that you actually watched the interview and therefore must have had an idea of his name or have short term memory issues, oh wait, you are just pretending not to know.

The interviewer guy, so strange I can't remember his name or read posts or google it really is weird.

Cagney is just unpleasant to watch, he's so spikey and rude to his interviewees, not to mention obviously full of himself.

Cagney (aka Louis copeland's mannequin , hence the ridiculous suits and socks) has always been an egotistical dick, full of his own importance. Beats me why he is still on tv. He can hardly see the damn autoque and prefer to squint and try to read instead of using glasses

And he is so opinionated - who gives a toss what he thinks about anything?!! Honestly, my blood pressure soars when i see him.. Why don't tv3 read some of these posts and take that man off tv??
he makes pat kenny more tolerable, which is saying a lot, given pat thinks he should get paid the same as a premiership footballer..

I am soo pleased to vent my anger too/!!! Mark Cagney is why I will watch anything else but TV AM .He is a cocky , self absorbed , full of himself git .He sniggers like a school boy sneers like an idiot and idolises himself . I cant bear to see him on my teli and so I watch BBC in the morning or simply switch off .
