Your Skirmish Blunders!!!

Playing out at Fingal Airsoft a few weeks ago. Went to take the flag at A1. Reached over and knocked the entire sandbag base wall down. I knocked the flag down too though, I guess its a semi-blunder

My first ever game was in the Warehouse and there were only 6 players there altogether so my team and I were sticking together taking a stealthy approach. Sadly I was not used to having my holster on and while I darted from wall to wall it whacked off one making a loud clunk. The enemy in about 5 seconds found us and killed all 3 of us.

Playing in Ambush and was the VIP, went for the full thing and was in my Tux, the team had to take my 'home' and capture me, so to make it difficult i snuck round with one of my team behind them where they wouldnt search for me. Later i hear game over, so i went up and out and as soon as they saw me they yelled, both my team and theres. They opened fire and chased me, i run, jump into a ditch, crawl through bog and water and eventually escaped crossing around 5 acres. Turned out they searched for 5 minutes and went for lunch

i was your back up,game over was called,you said follow me deco,i got stuck in the mud..next thing i hear is deco RUN..cue you running by me(in your james pond suit:p) on the driveway followed by 10-12 guys after you,shot two of them thru the tears of laughter and sinkin thru the mud,thank to marko for helping pull

playing in drogheda airsoft one weak,while in the quary my battery runs out off juice,so thinking tacticalily i ran back to my base where i left my pistol,swap the m4 for the pistol,flank all the way round,approuching the enemy tower went the shoot the only enemy guarding it,gssssssssss, mag sh*ts itself,i get coverd in gas,the enemy laughs hos head off and riddles me,:mad:

long straight corridor no cover on either side,enemy (in best blain accent) dug in deeper than an alabamma tic. me and my mate decide to do our death or glory run, he heads off first, i head a couple of yards behind, he gets tagged right in the doorway, so i (in my infinate wisdom) go to jump over him into the room. WHAM head first straight into the top of the door frame. i come too a minute or so later wondering why everyone was rolling around on the ground.

same game 5 minutes later behind the same person, who decides to drop to the ground to "give me covering fire" at the top of an exposed stair case, as he hit the ground i tripped over him and went face first down said stairs, still got some scars from that one..

first skirmish, was playing down the valley in oakridge i was trying to ambush from one of the valley sides and slide all the way down into the mud in the little stream got stuck, got my new aeg and cloths covered in mud and to top it off, got shown no mercy and got shot.

Was playin in maz cqb for the first time when i found myself seperated from the team. Sitting beside a building in eery silence when i suddenly heard crunch,crunch coming from behind me. i quickly turned and fired one round catching the just visible glasses of the person peeking around the corner. Now this wasnt just on the lense it was right between the eyes an amazing snap shot...........................................................shame he was on my team though :P:P:P

Ha, priceless. I don't know how many times me you and sam shot him (if he's the one your talking about). We just opened up on anyone that wasn't us.

Poor chap but he always managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had the situation awareness of a blind monkey! Quite loud too!

At a night game in fingal airsoft and i was walking back to respawn on my own, it was a long oul walk and the way it was if you seen an enemy walking back to spawn you could tell them to get down and you would have to search them to see if they had a glowstick and see if they were a commander (secondary objective) so there i am walking along and i hear my mate saying get down, so i get down on a knee and could hear him start running because he had bbs in the back of his vest then all i hear is a loud thud, and him sayin "ahhh", he climbed over a ridge and started to run and fell flat on his face and then got friendly fired so he couldnt even search me in the end
It may not be that funny but at the time it was :P

Redbarn courtyard 14.00 ZULU 01/06/2025: approach from the car park, past the first door on the left and just around the corner is a nice little room with hay in it...... 3 maybe 4 lads hiding in it, but i knew they were there. took out the zoxna grenade, pulled the pin ...went to roll it into the room......but ..BANG bloody thing goes off in my hand.............what hurt more the pain of the nade or the slagging of the marshals????

moral of the story dont give contractors grenades!!!!!

Id given it to someone to oil up in the safezone while i went to reload but they never locked the slide in place lol :eek:

AT G-TAC, a Gathering I think,
Was a downed pilot/crew game,
Got seperated from my team who were still in sporadic firefights all over the place with small groups of enemy,
Got into the tree line on the edge of the forest and move along it out of view becasue of a ditch and good tree cover, plan was to assault a group of 3 to 4 enemies when they got about 10 feet in front of me( that is if they passed by).
Trouble was because of the cover, I couldnt see anyone until they passed by, I could only hear them, so I waited and then heard the sound of a teamate(birdman/Liam),,
I knew he was in one of the downed crew and thought if I join him and his crew and can give them more support on the push to the rescue point,
I waited until they passed, i.d'ed the lot of them and got out of the ditch,

I happened to jump out in a small gap between them and half the enemy force that was force marching them to their own base, I didn't bother firing and just put up my hand:rolleyes:

First time out in Red Barn, new kit, all shiny, new TAR21 that I hadn't fixed the mag release on, Marshal is about to lead us out for first game, I'm all gung-ho. I step forward and the mag drops out of the gun and lands at my feet in front of whole team.

Felt such a tool.

Had a similar experience last weekend. :rolleyes:

Was out playing in "The Quarry" . We were in a small group walking through the heavy goarse.
I look around and notice my pistol mag droped out of my drop-leg. I turn around to pick it up (luckily i found it ) . Then notice everybody is gone. Took me the whole game to find them again. Didn't fire a single bb

First skirmish in hrta, playing escort the bomb, I had lost a life on the far left flank of the bus when I ran with one of my mates to the wooden crates. He made it there but I got hit. I go back and respawn then pelt it full speed straight back to the boxes, where two lads are behind a mound I can see their flank they r distracted shooting at my mate, who I did my first run with, I take out the two of them and try to run to cover on the opposite side of the mound they were on to flank the rest of the team, only I didn't see a tractor trail, tripped in it twisted my ankle and burried my brand new M4 in the mud!! After I recover from the pain in my ankle I look at my M4 to see the entire muzzle flash is full of mud! I spend the next half hour using a stick to try and clean in out! Not a fun experience!! What made it worse was when I returned home and went to clean my gun I remembered that I could have simply un screwed it and kept playing, felt like such a plank!!

First or second skirmish all suited up just lieing there.Great I thought nobody will spot me here (had ghillie on + my m14) waiting for some ape to walk into my sights.I got my wish.
Single shot = hit guy looks around continues shooting at others
Second shot = Hit guy takes cover looks around lots
So I moved around a bit full auto guy doesn't react.I could see BB's hitting him.I lost it, stood up full auto guy turns round shoots...You're out. I strolled off.looking like this:mad:.

First ever skirmish, second game of the day.

In Oakridge doing the patrol in the valley.

So me and 2 others are supposed to set up an ambush and the other team is supposed to come down the valley and try and hit us, we have only 1 life and they have infinite.

So I get myself a spot and I'm sitting there and I see 2 of the 4 from the other team moving up, so 1 of my team mates has the guy on the left pinned, and me and the other have the 2nd guy pinned. He is popping out firing and pulling back behind cover.

So I feel this tapping on my back, and I am thinking the BB's must be hitting the trees above my head and falling down (ricochet's don't count).

So next thing I feel it again, and at this stage I am wondering whats going on?

I turn around and there is one of the opposing team members with his M4 on me.

I call my hit and start walking out of the game zone and the game ends.

So I am talking to the guy who got me and he says "sorry had to keep shooting til you realised I was behind you", and I say thats perfectly fair, but how the heck did you get by us?

Then he tells me "Ah the marshall's let us come up behind you"

I felt like a tool for 2 reasons.

Not realising I was getting hit and not watching my back.

You live and learn.

This happened over the weekend. Playing the milsim game on sunday at HRTA I blieve. Went to go capture a civilian spotter. Ended up chasing him. This was no bother in itselfs as I had his back and he would have had to slow to draw and by then i could shoot him. Unfortunatly for me when he did draw, I let a few rounds, we both thought I had hit him, 2 seconds later he smiles and starts blazing with his pistol.

I end up getting hit all because I forgot to reload my magg and make sure there was BBS before pulling of this "stunt"

Was at another night game in fingal, we were in the killhouse as we had to hold it as part of an objective, so me and him were covering one side of the killhouse making sure no one got in on our side and there was 2 lads covering the rear of the killhouse and another 2 on each side, me and lperozzi done a pretty good job holding our side but somehow a guy got in on the rear of the killhouse and knife killed everyone, i didnt know what was happening as it happened in about 3 seconds so he knifes everyone and me and lperozzi are left standing there looking at each other cluelessly and then he knifes us 2 also, all you could hear was "BLUE TEAM MEDIC" from the middle of the site for 5 minutes until we all bled out :P
Was funny but a bit annoying that none of us copped on

hid in a bush picked off 2 people I was so happy cause they didn't even see me and I lasted the whole match.Afterwards I guess they reasoned it was me that shot them.One asked where I was.So I told them and went back to the same place again next round.Needless to say I was gunned down real fast that time

my frist only game i played in HRTG, at there first night game me and a other guy seen a shadow of a guy sitting in the center thinking he was a sniper the two of us split up to flank him thinking we are going to nail this guy we set out trying to make no sound we snacked around the left and the right but made sure we could see each other (in the dark) so there was no blue on blue. the guy had not moved one bit the two of us took aim and with a thumbs up we nailed this guy from both sides not giving him a chance to dive for cover, WHAT A KILL....
the only let down was when he had not moved after we killed him or even a HIT from him, we moved in closer to see what the story was... we had just taking out a tree stump "SICK"
