Tethering desire on o2

    Does anyone know if i can tether my desire with o2 at no extra cost provided i stay within my data allowance. I'm on advance 150 with 2 gig of data.

    Good question. I would imagine so. Must find out for myself also. I am on the same plan and as I use the wifi mainly when home, I only use 3 or 400MB a month at most.

    Yes, you can tether away on any data package with an Android phone, the carrier has no way to discern between tethering and any other data usage. The same is no true for iPhone however, unless it's jailbroken.

    I think the iphone is one of the only phones that allows operators to charge extra for this :rolleyes: Tethering with desire works brilliantly, tethering with desire wirelessly is even sweeter! Tethering with the desire wirelessly, taking a phone call and still being connected to the net is sweeter still :D
