Broadband in Mayo - Is this the future?

    Mayo seems to be left out of the loop when it comes to NGB as in fibre or Wimax.

    Even getting normal broadband is tough in some area's.
    With only mobile broadband available.

    Just look at Imagine's new Wimax Coverage map.

    Now take a close look a MAYO.
    Mayo gets the same coverage as the North. None!

    Take a look...

    This is nothing new.

    But what do you guys think, will this ever change?

    Or is MAYO destined to be left behind as usual?:rolleyes:

    That map is totally misleading.

    The Imagine WiMax and Wireless only cover relatively small areas in each of those coloured in counties. Imaging just have FWALA "circle" licences, actual coverage much less due to terrain than the circles on Comreg's map.

    They don't have any nationwide Wireless licences.

    Yes, but that map doesn't show quality stuff like Metro or Westnet's x16 better Fixed WiMax.
