Don't have the name of an exact place, but all I can say is one of my biggest regrets coming home form Thailand was not getting more stuff made. My cousin got two work-suits (lovely skirts, tops and fitted jackets), gorgeous dresses and a jacket which you could have sworn was bought in a boutique. Her husband got three suits made as well. So i know it doesn't answer your question, but get more stuff made, and if you are thinking 'ah no, sure I'll find a dress in Ireland for X's wedding/graduation/bar-mitzvah'..get it made out there!!!

As far as I know there there are tonnes of dressmakers and tailors in every corner out there..

Hoi An in Vietnam is the best place to get tailor made clothing in SE Asia, so if you're heading that direction, wait and get them done there!

only heading to thailand sadly and mainly the islands, any recommendations for places that make good quality dresses in phuket, phi phi or ko samui or anywhere to definitely avoid?
also can anyone give me an indication of prices to expect?

    Thanks!!
