    Hi All

Not exactly up to date on using broadband to make calls, so maybe
    I could get some advice.

Making a lot of phone calls to the lady in my life, who is at the other end
of the country. Needless to say, the cost is killing me, so looking via Internet what can be done. Our PC setups are as follows:

Me: Landline with 7 meg BB, have MSN and Yahoo w desktop pc.

Ms Kerry: Vodaphone stick BB, 3 meg but not always getting it, NO Landline, mobile only, Laptop with Yahoo.

    So what are my options?

Thanks to all who may reply!!!

Skype , 1c per minute to any landline on earth. Not sure about mobile rates though.

Skype is the best IMO you can also ring her mobile from your skype for next to nothing, maybe 1c for a few mins i think.

If you both get Skype, you can call each other for free, no phones necessary or credit cards, just speakers and microphone.

Skype to skype mightn't work well on her mobile 3g dongle as speeds are undependable and the latency is high but may be ok off-peak. You can instant message tho, just type a message and send it

Buy two mobiles on the 3 network, they have skype built in, then you can call each other for nothing all the time, if you have no 3g then use your 3 to 3 minutes.
    No computers, no wires.

If you want video use MSN.

    Peace out
