SNA summer pay???

its my first year as an SNA (parttime) and I was wondering do I get holiday pay.....does anyone know..? honestly i didnt think i would but the other SNAs in my school say i would!

think it changed for new entrants this year regarding summer pay but not sure, check out education.ie and look up sna and I am sure theres a circular regarding it

If its like the other part time teachers, you get some holiday pay, but you have already had it in your salary. You can sign on as soon as you finish, but you will have to wait about a month before you get anything. In fact you are now out of work (like a lot of us!) as you are employed just for the school year. You will have to get a letter from your employer to say what holiday you have been paid.

As I said, that assumes that SNAs get paid on the same basis as temporary/subs teachers.

All the SNAs in my place have to stay on for the state exams and an extra week so don't think you are officially off, likewise I thought primary school SNAs have to work 10 days during the holidays. Open to correction on this but thats my understanding
