Lost remote for Satellite receiver

I have a Dish bought in Maplin and a S 1003/12 receiver box, both of which have been in my attic since I moved into my new house last year. I spotted them a few days ago and decided to give them ago. Unfortunately I seem to have lost the remote. Does anyone know if a Universal remote can be tuned in to control this box?…
