    hey,

i haven't been diving for 2/3 years for various reasons.

so i know i need to do a refesher dive etc to get back into it. i usually did my diving down in waterworld in castlegregory, but now living in east cork , so just wondering are there any recommendations for where to go etc

i also have a dry suit that i had bought before some stuff happened, so i prob need to do a course for that also.

    cheers

I'm a bit new to diving, so trying to figure out the diving options in cork myself. If you've trained with PADI, and prefer to stick with them, Munster Dive and Canoe in Cork City could probably take care of a review and Dry Suit training. I had a chat with them about non-training dives, but was told they only do training courses.

There are a few Diving clubs around cork affiliated with CFT and BSAC, no PADI clubs though. The CTF clubs are listed here: http://cft.ie/clubssouth.htm, and for BSAC there is South Coast Divers

I heard that Ocean Addicts near Kinsale Dive regularly, but I haven't beeen in touch with them about that yet.

Apart from all of the above, there is the option of finding buddies to go dive with.

There is plenty of clubs in cork and their generally a good way to start diving and getting to know people, it depends on what agency you want to dive with CFT, PADI or BSAC. Most clubs will want to either do some checks with you to see your ok or else they might want you to train their way, depends.

Their is a CFT club in fermoy that is active, I know one or two people there and their a very nice bunch of people.

As for in the city there is about 6 or 7 clubs to choose form, depending on your preference.

I used to live in Midleton and dived with Pat Waide in Ardmore,

I did my PADI Recue diver with him in 2006 and Nitrox in 2007.
    I would happly reccomend him.
