    Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and am really excited being my first but am finding it impossible to find shops with maternity wear for my size. I'm a larger lady, size 22 -> 26 and am finding especially trousers impossible to find in any shops. I've found some tops but not a great selection. I've asked in all the usual shops and the shop assistants do not have any suggestions either.

Any advice or suggestions of shops which people know cater for my size would be helpful.

    Many thanks,

    J

hello Razorfish, hope this helps simply be have a large size maternity section i ordered the trousers and ordered a size up thinking that it would be too small but that was a mistake order your pre pregnancy size cos they have they expandable sides, i think it may even show details of the waist. Good Luck !

I found online the only way to go!
Next online have plus sized maternity wear, simplybe, oxendales, littlewoods, onceborn.com, ebay. They all served me well!
Newlook had some stuff as well, not online but in store.
I did a lot of research and found that online shopping was the only way to go, There were other websites as well, I can't remember them all but google plus size maternity wear and you should have loads of options.
    Congats and good luck!!
I also found belly or bump bands great, they help expand your normal trousers at the waist, you get longer out of your regular trousers. You can get them in most baby shops, or online.

In my pregnancies I was on the large side (16 - 18) and i found if i stuck to my usual shops and clothes but used some tummy bands and a pants extender I could wear most things.
a tummy band is a like a boobtube but for the tummy and it 'minds the gap' from your tops over the bump. The pants extender is a set of elastic pieces and inserts that go into your normal trousers and jeans so you can keep wearing them. with the two I got through almost all the pg without maternity wear. I needed some materinity trousers near the end tho.
