XD Card? Really?

I recently got a camera as a present. It's an Olympus Camera.

Took me ages to get around to buying a memory card and just as i was about to buy a nice, large-storage, SD card, i tried out an SD card and it doesnt fit.

Turns out the only card will fit is an XD card and surprise surprise, the only ones i can find are made by Olympus. They're also horribly expensive! (2GB of storage for €35 is not value for my money!)

Does anyone know where i might get one for cheap? Does the XD card even have any advantages over an SD card to justify it's large price tag compared to SD?

Also you can create a paypal account and transfer money from your bank account to paypal which takes a few days to process (the transfer time to their bank)
ebay own paypal and it is very secure and buyer friendly in case anything goes wrong such as counterfeit cards etc...

    Cheers lads :D

So does anyone know if there is any actual advantage to an XD card over an SD card?

    no problem,

There is no advantage over SD cards, infact most XD cards are slower at reading and writting to.
XD is only used by Olympus and Fuji.
overall though cameras that tend to use XD arent all that fast at reading and writting anyway so XD suits them fine.
