    Very moving programme. It had the right balance of victims' testimony, reconstruction and investigator interviews.

    When I started watching I was like "ugh no, too depressing", but ended up glued to it right 'til the end.

    I've been to the memorial garden in West Cork several times. Lovely quiet spot with great views out to sea.

    Pity they didnt recognise more of the recovery from the part of the Irish Navy or interview Sailors from it ( then again maybe they declined to be interviewed ), i have a relation who was a part of that recovery operation.

    Terrible tragedy and some moving footage of the recovery especially from the winch crews bringing up bodies.:(

    Only caught part of the program, were there any interviews with Valentia lifeboat crew ?

    They had the harrowing job of recovering five badly mutilated bodies and I heard before that they have never discussed it nor ever had any treatment for psychological trauma.
