The Starcom thread reminded me of Manta Force.

This was the giant ship that had a huge crew with lots of little ships inside it. It was a spectacularly brilliant toy.

The bad guys had a big ship as well called Red Venom

There were a few other ships and bases. But as a kid those two were the only ones I ever encountered.

Lots of info on the toys here: http://www.mantaforce.co.uk/

It used to always be advetised in the back of the Transformers UK magazine but not once did I see a real one. Always wanted to though!

I actually had both of these... Classic stuff. Havent seen a picture of them in years. The white ship had loads of stuff inside it.

It's yet another of those toys other kids seemed to have for me.

I don't think I own too many toys outside of the Transformers range as a kid.

If I recall you had Trypticon, you do not get to complain.

I had this - pretty much every bit of it had trapdoors/flippers or shot something

And to think the company went on to create the Polly Pocket line of toys.

    Master of the Universe

One year for christmas I got the Black Barracuda from Santa.

My grandparents then bought me that big mothership.

I can remember going around telling everyone how the thing my grandparents bought me was far better than the one santa came with.

My poor parents! Still feel bad about that.

Was an amazing christmas anyway. I played with those two sets for years.

Then when I was about 11 I thought it would be a great idea to have a yard sale and make some money.

So they were sold for practically nothing along with my Starcom and some other great toys(G.I Joe Rolling Thunder and their mobile command base..but I'm not even going to think about them as it's too much pain for one day!)

My uncle bought me this when I was but 6 or 7 years old, and living in Germany.
I still remember the swooshiness of the detachable top part, which is amazing considering it was bigger than my head! :pac:

Thanks, I'd forgotten what this thing was called :)
