i was let go at the end of april and i was under the impression that i would have job seekers benefit for 12 months before i would have to apply for JSA if i didnt do a course or get a job but i got notice yesterday that i can only claim JSB for 46 more days and then i have to apply for JSA. I didnt claim anydays since christmas and that was a max of 3 days as the company were not going to be open and i had used up all my holidays. it could have been 6 months previous to that before i claimed for a day. i had been on a 3 day week on and off from the middle of 05 to start of 09. i got as many full weeks as i could but they were just not available every week...

do they count every day you claimed for?? i thought it would be only the days in the previous year would be counted??

    can anyone help me here??
