Id this Insect Please

    Can anyone tell me what this insect maybe, was spotted in the back garden today, its about 2/3" long, red body, and what looked like 2 black heads!! sorry about the poor picture quality.

    This is 2 insects, a male and female Large Red Damselfly.
    Is there water nearby?

    Looks like they were indoors?

    The male in front has a hold on female and will continue to hold her while she is laying eggs. This prevents other males mating.

    Have a look at recent Dragonfly thread.

    Many thanks thats seems to be them alright. got into the house and drove the dog mad, they escaped and flew off. live on the edge of a forest so lots of flying insects about atm thanks for your help Mothman.
