Social Welfare officer visiting me

I'm applying for both JSB and JSA. My application was handed in on the 28th/31st of May (Had to go back on the 31st with my birth cert). But got a phone call today from an officer. She said she'll be visiting tomorrow and I should have my bank statements ready.

Does anyone know what this visit entails? I'm not quite sure what to expect.

Also, my mum runs her childminding business from our house. I've declared that in my application, but I wonder would she suspect me of being involved in the business? I have absolutely no involvement and that's the truth.

It's just a visit to make sure you live there (and not with your partner for example). She'll probably ask to see your house key and maybe your room.
Just be polite, have the place clean and offer her a cup of tea!

If you have the bank statements ready be prepared to explain any large withdrawals or lodgements.

Show how bad you are with kids by smoking and swearing in front of them so she'll realise there is no way you are helping out with the business.
