This thing is really catching on in my club. Essentially you dial your scores in as you go, and you can see a leaderboard of all players taking part as their round progresses.

Handy elements include how quick it is to use (if it took more than 5 seconds per hole I wouldn't bother) and the way it displays the leaderboard in tour-style, with people + or - based on their nett strokes, or points tally (level twos being "Even").

It's good craic on the course, and for serious geeks, you can follow people's progress wherever you are, even if you're not out for a few hours. Or, if you've shot an early score, you can monitor the late players to see how you're holding up.

I'm fairly sure their's no rules issue with this - does anyone have a view on this?

dont think its in use in many clubs had a look at it and seems a good fun useful app

the only downside is some tool putting in the wrong scores for the hell of it........and this in turn influencing how someone else may play the last few holes, you know the types

sorry should mention I only looked at the lite version(free) so far
I think the full version has some other extra's in it,

is it any use for stats, like gir,fir putts or saves etc. ?

Yeah, sorry for the duplicate posts - no answer to the rules aspect in the old post either. I reckon it's one of those things where many people suppose it's illegal to share scores, but it isn't in fact.

As for the thing itself, I dont really use the stats part. We just set up a game for each comp and text everyone the code. People join and we have our own little leaderboard for the day. You can see the early players scores as they progress, and they can see yours after they've finished. Brings a bit of drama.

Not sure how this misconception got about. Seems to be an understanding out there these days that revealing scores people have already posted in a comp is like revealing the secret of Fatima, and discussing good scores before others go out is the lowest of the low.
