    Hi, guys,

Has anyone sent laptop to Europe from Ireland before (esp. Ukraine)? What company did you use and what was the service (delivery time, cost, etc.)?

I know few general companies like DHL, but I would love to hear reviews first. (If you search for "DHL laptop" in the Google, first two entries is about thieves and lost laptop).

    Regards,
    Gita

That DHL report is about a theft-ring in one DHL depot. Isolated incident.
    You'll be fine using them
If you log on to their site (or any of the big courier companies) you'll get info on costs, times etc.

If you have sold it on Ebay, to someone in the Urkaine .. don't ship it.

Were you paid by paypal ? ? All it takes is for the buyer to say it didn't arrive, or an empty parcel arrived and paypal will automatically deduct the money from you and transfer it back to the buyer. If they paid by western union then as the seller there is no problem with that.

Thanks to gu10 and Abrasax for constructive comments. I will try DHL and registered post.
